Children’s Summer Workshop session to learn Mosaic Art on a Pot

The Children’s Mosaic Art Workshop will be colourful & fun with the design being displayed on a terracotta pot, it will need to be shown off

Mosaic art is the creation of patterns or pictures using small pieces of materials such as clay, marble, glass, tiles, or stones. The pieces are often glued or cemented to a surface such as a wall, pots etc. The pieces are usually irregular shapes and were very popular in Ancient Rome. Mosaics have developed into a popular craft and art, and are not limited to professionals. Today's artisans and crafters work with stone, ceramics, shells, art glass, mirror, beads, and even odd items like doll parts, pearls, or photographs. While ancient mosaics tended to be architectural, modern mosaics are found covering everything from park benches and flowerpots to guitars and bicycles.
