About the Event
Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs.
The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted, and otherwise manipulated to create shapes that make up designs to decorate greetings cards, pictures, boxes, and to make models, jewelry, mobiles, etc.
Quilling starts with rolling a strip of paper into a coil and then pinching the coil into shapes that can be glued together. There are advanced techniques and different sized paper that are used to create 3D miniatures, abstract art, flowers, and portraits among many things.
We will be staring at the beginning of the paper quilling journey by learning the basics.
No experience needed as I will guide you through the different shapes and will provide the quilling tool, gorgeous papers, glue and tweezers to aid you in your creation.
You can either make a heart for a greeting card or use your quilling as a hanging heart for everyone to see.
Either come on your own or with a friend, we’ll be chatting away and having lots of fun.
This venue is perfect to chill out and unwind and take some time for you while you learn the basics of Quilling.
