About the Event
Learn the beautiful art of Paper Quilling. Quilling or paper filigree is a lovely relaxing craft dating back to Ancient Egyptian times.
In this workshop you will learn the basics of quilling and little tips and hints along the way. By the end of the workshop, you will have your own quilled letter mounted in a box frame to take home!
I will guide you step by step through the various techniques of rolling and shaping strips of paper to make a range of different shapes. After some practice I will show you how to combine the shapes to create exquisite designs to decorate your chosen letter.
My photo is just an example, the possibilities are endless. With so many sizes, shapes and colour combinations you can let your inner creativity flow and create a truly unique quilled letter.
Don’t worry if you have never done anything like this before. I will be there to guide you every step of the way and give a helping hand.
VENUE: Creative Coffee Hub, Merry Hill Shopping Centre (By Next) DATE: Friday 11th March TIME: 2pm - 5pm PRICE: £35 Price includes tuition, all materials, box frame and use of tools as well as a drink of your choice and cake from the coffee shop. We will be well looked after by the lovely owner, Tamara & her team in her new venue which opened in September 2021. There is plenty of free parking at Merry Hill Shopping Centre.
